me- i mean the actor is annoying in other roles as well- she does decent in some- but god i hated the seagull- they looked nothing like the one in the OG movie

Even though this is about Live Action stuff… I REALLY hope it’s Dreamworks that gets the honors to make a Spyro the Dragon/Crash Bandicoot movie; and NOT Disney. They’d absolutely butcher it.

I mean, I’d also want Illumination to do it; or anyone BUT Disney.

they made the guy who created stitch (I forgot his name) a bad guy which kinda ruins his character in the orginal iirc

they also took away his funny accent he had

I’ve never been a fan of race swapping solely because we need original stories with diverse characters, not a live action, say, sleeping beauty or some sh¡t that’s going to be utterly, utterly terrible, but make Sleeping Beauty like Honduran to play the race card on anyone hating on the movie because it is a Frankenstein’s Monster of imaginationless story written by a multi-billionaire producer looking up the synopsis of the original animated movie on chatGPT, emotionless acting, and cheap CGI all to make less money than if they made something original with heart,

but more. than. they. deserve.

because it won’t bomb. the theatres will be jammed packed with people, people like us
hate-watching it, but we paid to do that, and it rakes in the money, the same way how when they announced the damned creation 8 months prior and it raked in the publicity.

even if it does bomb, the Mouse with his cold, greedy little heart has billions upon billions upon billions, and does not give a rat’s sh¡t if he looses millions, it is but dimes to him. he will do it again and again because his millions to make these movies are cheaper, and cost less effort to him than to put a near billion to make an original story
with new and unique characters of color
in an authentic setting
with talented artists and actors.
and actually make good money

by making something look real and human , you lose those very things in the emotion of the story

tl;dr

the Disney corporation is too lazy and cheap to make new original stories that aren’t about white people, so they make a live action existing disney princess movie, slap a non white actor on it as the main character, and call it a day.

I just think if disney wants to be diverse, then they should make original movies with diverse characters.

like if Mulan was made today, it would be some fairytale from the public domain, like Hansel and Gretel for example, and have Gretel be played by a Chinese actress, and also it’s live action
