Sounds like you really enjoy the game 
The Resonance Scepter is also, imo, one of the more fun mage weapons to mess around with, despite the difficulty in getting it.
You first have to actually get the princess as a town NPC, which requires you to have EVERY OTHER TOWN NPC PRESENT IN YOUR WORLD.
Every town NPC requires a home with suitable living conditions.
And then you need to use a flymeal or lava bucket to eliminate the Princess, with a chance to drop the Scepter.
