  1. Karma is punishment for all the monsters you’ve killed; if it were a soul, it’d show up more and be mentioned more often.

  2. To use a soul’s power, you have to absorb it. Sans is the only boss in Undertale that uses Karma, so that means Sans has absorbed the soul. That isn’t something Sans would do, so why does he have the ability to inflict Karma if it were a soul?

  3. In lore all they needed were 7 souls, why would there be an 8th soul they wouldn’t need?

  4. When did Spamton imply an 8th soul existing? At most, I’ve seen him talk about KRIS and his soul, which is just the determination soul.

  5. Deltarune is a separate world from Undertale, we haven’t heard anything about the 7 souls there outside of Kris, whose only connection to them is the fact he has the same soul you did in UT, so how would Spamton know about the other 6?

ok so what if they tried to get the soul also sans was a genocide boss who was willing to do anything, INCLUDING Absorb a Soul because as he says He does not care about the surface

That is actually incorrect.
Throughout the entire run, he does nothing because he believes that even if he did, it wouldn’t change anything.

He has no motivation to fight you, nor a reason to until you defeat Papyrus.
Saying that he would do anything, even absorbing a soul, denies the reality that there were already several souls there to begin with.

He is given the option to absorb the souls, but he chooses not to, because he BELIEVES that it won’t change anything.
