Blocked users shouldn't be able to access certain topics

I think there should be a feature where blocked users (except TL4) shouldn’t access the topics of those who had blocked them, or at least not be able to post
I think it’s much more better that way
Is it possible?

That actually sounds like a good idea ngl

I’mma be mad if it’s not possible.

And possibility of an option for putting blacklisted words of choice for TL3

Like for example TL3 can put “duck” as a blacklisted word but only in their topics

I think it could be problematic at times
For if this does happen, than certain people will know who blocked them (and could get very upset about it)

That’s not really problematic
all they can do is complain to others

That’s like calling the block button problematic because blocked users cannot message them

I do think they could maybe still see the topics but cannot post in them if they’re blocked

If their friends are PMing that person to unblock someone because they want to see a topic then that person has the choice to also block those people
Simple

yeah youre right

which is kind of the point of the block button
it tells the blocked user that you don’t want to interact with them and it makes it CLEAR

Since you blocked me, i am not gonna pm you, even though you unblocked me, still i ain’t pming you because i don’t feel ready

i get it

Yes pls

Im not sure why is that needed.

If a user is persistently bothering someone, blocking them should be enough to stop direct interactions. And blocking them fromviewing topics could lead issues, such as:

  1. If someone creates a helpful or relevant topic, like an a cursor idea or a bug report, blocked users not being able to see it and participate in it

  2. Some users might block others just to prevent them from engaging with their posts, which could be exploited in debates or arguments.

  3. If a blocked user continues to annoy someone through indirect means (like talking about them in other posts), moderation actions like suspensions would be more effective
