And keep in mind that CCC was hosted on one of the CC servers but was additionally attacked by our competitors, and as the CCC load got slower and slower we not only removed gifs but also moved the whole CCC to a separate dedicated server.
At the moment CCC is stable and ok with the load it receives

Its just requests that are made not by a real browser, but by some script on some remote server
For the years we have been attacked - in many ways:
From many servers, they are downloading some large files from our servers
Brute forc3
Direct parsing/coping of your content with scripts
Spam attacks
They even register here on CCC and promote their cursor apps
