The title explains it all.

By realistically, I mean you can use things available in a real-world setting.

So no, I will not let you use the BFG in a fight against Davoth from Doom. This is in real-world Earth with the real-world things you can use.

But to give you some more leeway, I will let you give yourself 3 buffs (faster, stronger, smarter, etc.)

Also no, “they’re a fictional character so I win by default” does not apply. That is the most boring excuse to use in this kind of discussion.
