Otherkin (lawd i didn't think i had to make this)

Guys, everyone can have their own beliefs, and that’s usually fine. But what’s wrong is that how far these beliefs can be taken.

“it’s not harming anyone” bro, if someone was schizophrenic and claimed to be a cop, you wouldn’t buy them cop clothes.

Congratulating someone for coming out as this is also harmful.
Because not only are you allowing them to believe they’re something other than human, you’re also making them further dwell in their delusions.

And someone recently on this site claimed to be a pokemon, some people were congratulating her.
And that was wrong to do.

“Otherkins” are not oppressed, they do not experience DYSPHORIA, if they REALLY do and it’s an ACTUAL thing, then they would need to go to therapy to cope with it and realize they’re human.
But that girl wasn’t trying at all, she was making everyone believe she is indeed a pokemon.

It’s a ridiculous thing to begin with, if someone does have a mental disorder and is identifying as this and YOU are encouraging it, you’re disgusting.

All of us are teenagers, we gotta do better than this.
It’s not a “valid thing” just because you personally don’t care. So don’t say it’s a valid thing.

It was never valid to begin with.

Why would you want others to be accepted as anything other than human? why would you?

its a respect thing you should respect other peoples pronouns if they arent trying to make you call them cloud/cloudself or something

i completely agree despite being myself being comfortable as i was born i understand some people arent and i feel that its something that people should respect others choices (i know its not a choice its just how you are but i couldnt think of a word) and call them by the correct pronouns

i have enough basic human decency to refer to people as they prefer even if i dont like said person

although this topic i do agree on you cant just proclaim yourself some fictional character sure i do it but its not like i actually think im said character im playing a part i think of myself as an actor more than anything

Which is exactly what i’m doing, i’m acknowledging that they’re a person, and not two or three people in the room
Moreover, they’re not transitioning into ANYTHING, so what makes it so important to call someone they/them?

why are you so against it why is it so important to you to not call someone they/them if someone identifies as they/them why not respect that its not like its infringing on your rights or hurting you just get over it and be respectful

And genderfluid means you also have… she/her… he/him… which makes your statement even less serious…

what gives you a right to say people cant be they/them you dont get to make that rule

And why is it so important to you not to call someone they/them?
I keep asking that, i already have explained my reasoning

I will not call someone they/them because nonbinary simply doesn’t exist
You can look androgynous, but nonbinary isn’t a thing
Moreover, people say “sex and gender” is different, so if i refer someone by their sex, it shouldn’t be so offensive

And they don’t get to make a rule about me having to call someone they/them
You’re contradicting yourself
