I had this topic in the oven since october when the final announcement was made, but I figured I should hold off on it until today.
14 years ago, SMG4 uploaded his first video. I was 4 at the time, and i had watched that silly little super mario 64 video not understanding what was going on but i enjoyed the visuals.
Over the years, the show had began to evolve and do more things, i had enjoyed every second of it. Once it got a big fleshed out story arc going with the Waluigi Arc, I was fully drawn in.
Smg4 has been there for almost every year of my life, and now im 18 and about to graduate next year. I’m glad to say I was with SMG4 through everything. When I was sad, when I was mad, or when I was having a rough day, SMG4’s videos were there for me.
His videos had always managed to get a laugh from me, his show was overall a big impact on my life and sense of humor. It makes me so happy that SMG4 was able to end the show on his own terms, and retire from it happy and fulfilled.
Thenfinal episode was released today, putting a bow on one of the best indie animation shows.
Thank you, SMG4. For all the memes, laughs, and every other emotion you had us feel ever since that first video in 2011. You shaped so many childhoods, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
