Hello again! Welcome to episode 7 of True Phobia! Today we are talking about Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes. And personally, I do have this fear. Snakes scare the carp out of me. The word as you guessed, comes from the greek work ophus, which is serpent, and phobia, which is fear. The symptoms of Ophidiophobia are * Dizziness, Dry mouth, Extreme feeling of dread or terror, Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, Profuse sweating, Rapid breathing and heart rate, Shaking or trembling, and Shortness of breath. I, again have this, so I can give a most likely relatable telling to these images. Now, let’s get into them!

Image itself may be tame, but I don’t like the vibe of this image. Mainly because; those are boa constrictors. They coil around their prey and squeeze them until they suffocate. At any point, that brown one can make her it’s next meal. Unless it’s tamed and trained. Even then, i still don’t like the feel of this.

This art was meant to represent what this phobia is like. and it does a good job at it. The snake mouth in the person’s mouth, and the snake tail wrapping around them. It just terrifies me.
Well, i didn’t enjoy this one, but i still liked making it. So, there is no need for a Poll, because our last phobia for season 1 is Acrophobia, the fear of heights. And instead of just my thoughts, I’m going to ask for my friend’s inputs on the images! So, if you are one of my friends (talk with me semi-frequently, talk about shared interests, ect.)
