The aggression in these animals is mainly due to the mushrooms the chemical was sourced from; this mainly infecting these aforementioned animals through ingestion. The insects would eat the fungi, and then bigger predators (like frogs, fish, and arachnids) would eat the insects and get infected themselves; meaning that Humanoids that have 50% of any of these animals in their DNA (For example, Driders; who are half human, half spider entities), would be more susceptible to infection rather than, say; an Elemental.
