"Witches"

This will be a little different than what I usually make…

But I wanted to put this out there.
I will not tear down anyone, however I expect you all to do the same.
This might come off of as a pretty heavy topic.
Just know that if you do tell me to “find god”, so should you.

I will also not give you books on witchcraft, as a lot of you are too young.

And with that out of the way, let’s get into it

I’ve been thinking of writing this for awhile now, I just don’t know how everyone would react to it. Because on one hand, people will call you delusional, the other will call you Satan or say that you’re working for the devil. These type of things aren’t only happening to those who are into “witchcraft”, but rather are spiritual.

In part, i understand that majority of people are led to believe that witchcraft is absolutely dangerous and should be feared. But the real evil and dangerous thing was killing them off in the past because they were not Christians or they simply looked different.

Think about salem witch trials, you could’ve been killed just for having a mole on your face.
Even today, they’re still feared because of how abrahamic religions make them out to be.
But I’m here to tell you they’re not dangerous as everyone says.
To start it off, there is different witches. Like how everyone’s fingerprint is not the same. They choose different paths, they can be kind. They can be rude. They can be rough around the edges, just like any other person.

Anyone who practices witchcraft is considered a witch.
Not all spiritual people are witches.
There is no wrong way to do witchcraft, like how there is no wrong way.
Witchcraft is neutral, like a knife.
You can use knives to chop up vegetables, help your family chop some fruits. With knives you can also use it to stab people, it really depends on who is using the knife.
But god didn’t told you to use tools!
Okay, what is baptism? what is the cross?
…tools
I thought so.
Anyways, like i said, it depends who you meet.
Like how the priest in your Church could be doing drugs and you wouldn’t know for sure unless you see him do it.

Now, i’m sure some of you had at least heard these terms before and i’m going to explain them…
“Paganism”
“Wicca”
“Warlock”

  • Paganism is the worship of other gods or deities (like Christianity worshiping Jesus and god)

  • Wicca is a religion based around Pre-christian traditions with hierachies, rules, and a form of governance.

  • Warlock just means someone who is a liar or betrayer, it was adapted
to fantasy books to mean a type of wizard

But what is exactly witchcraft? what does it mean to be a witch?

Witchcraft is about changing “energies”, these energies are put out into the world. Anyone who does witchcraft is considered a witch, it doesn’t matter what religion you’re in to practice witchcraft. Think of it as like how you ask god that your parents get a cat for you.
That’s basically what it is.

So, is it true that witches are associated with demons?

Yes… and no…
As i stated before, there is different witches. Some will actually go to demons, while others won’t.
Some will pray to goddesses like Hekate, while others pray to gods like Thor.
Some will also not pray at all to such gods, some are atheist.
As witches, we worship the nature. Nature is sacred to us.

You don’t need to worship demons or ask anything from them in order to do witchcraft.

There is much more information that i want to talk about but i don’t know if you guys want that so i will put out a poll for those who want part 2 of this topic.
It’s kinda scuffed, i just wanted to get into the point so that it’s understandable enough.

The pentacle means protection, it is not anything about the devil

However, this one is

I actually learned that recently

I had a friend who had a pentagram drawn on his shoe and told me it’s not actually the sign of the devil like a lot of people think

I’ve always had that kind of opinion, but you can’t exist in a christian household with differing opinions about god.
I personally don’t believe that there is an all-powerful, all-knowing god whose intentions are purely good. I’m open to the idea of high power, but not one with the capability/desire to prevent tragedy.

In the same way I see other gods, the depiction given to us by the books and stories is purely fictional, and I see it as more of an Eldritch way.
If there ARE gods, they aren’t going to be human, animal, or even anything describable.

It’s purely my belief, and I don’t expect anyone else to share it as it is mostly dark and not very reassuring.

Not you saying this with that signature :sob: :sob:

BUT YEAH THIS IS HOW I THINK

The way i was taught is that these gods were once human and were awakened (but not animals), i also used to have that outlook

“Gods” are a strange topic for me.

Usually when I hear the words god or goddess, I think of the fictional representation.
Greek or Nordic Mythos, those weird 2am christian tv shows on cable.

When someone talks about higher power, it’s almost instant that I think about Eldritch Horrors, because to me it’s either that or world simulation.

Some pagans have other views on gods
They might think it’s the energy of a certain thing so they try to bring that in ( i can’t remember correctly exactly but it’s something like that)
A lot of witches believe in world simulation
Maybe not all but a lot

Believe it or not; No one was Burnt at the stake in Salem, Massachusetts during the witch trials.

Yes, Stoneings did occur, which were worse… …But no one was ever torched.

The Salem witch trials are just another case of people taking someone else’s knowledge or beliefs and using that information against them to make them look like they were crazy. When you really think about, it’s just crazy religious people who think everything is rooted to evil when it’s not rooted to God, Jesus, or the Bible in general
